Sneak Peek at What's Coming

Welcome to the FUTURE part of our shop! Here, we share a preview of products that are in the making.

Inspiration hits me at the oddest times—sometimes right before I fall asleep, or when I see a cool shape that sparks an idea. I always think about whether guinea pigs would love this new idea. Then, I get to work on creating a prototype and a pattern. I tweak and adjust the pattern until the prototype looks just right to me.

Now comes the fun part - my little helpers, the guinea pigs, test it out! I watch how they use it and whether they seem to like it. Based on their reactions, I make improvements or decide if it’s a no-go.

But even after perfecting the prototype, the journey isn’t over. We need to make the final product in all the colors, take some awesome photos, and get it ready for the shop. If you like what you see here, we can let you know when the product is finally available for purchase.

Working Title: DECO CURL BED

March 2024

Introducing the Deco Curl Bed, a stylish and comfortable addition to our collection, inspired by elegant, continuous stitched lines. The design features a lower front for easy access and a higher back for added support and security, creating a cozy nook for your guinea pig (or rabbit). The graceful stitched lines wrap around the bed, giving it a unique, wavy appearance that ties it to our Funnel Tunnel design.

Inside the bed, there’s an extra cushion to provide double the softness, ensuring a plush resting spot for your pet. My initial prototype in a lovely powder pink felt too high, even with the cushion. I then made a second prototype in bright orange with lower sides, which seemed too low. The third version, in a lime green, was designed to find the perfect middle ground.

When placed side by side, the orange one turned out to be more visually appealing. Now, I’m waiting to see what my guinea pigs think.

Working Title: LOUNGE HAY FEEDER

Watching my little guinea pigs do gymnastics to nibble on hay from the cage wall, I thought, 'This can't be good for their tiny backs!' Dropping the hay right on the floor wasn’t any better; they quickly turned it into a pee-soaked mess, and I had to throw tons of it away. That’s why I created the Lounge Hay Feeder.

This handy feeder not only fits a generous amount of hay but also allows the piggies to eat in a natural, relaxed position on the ground. Made from softshell fabric, it keeps everything tidy, ensuring the hay doesn’t get stuck on the outside or turn into an eyesore. It also keeps the hay dry and off the floor, so it stays pee-free! The large opening makes refilling simple, allowing you to easily keep the hay fresh and fluffy. Now, feeding time is comfy, clean, and waste-free!

I've added loops and carabiners to the design, so you can also hang the hay feeder. Some guinea pigs are used to eating from elevated feeders, so this feature allows you to use the hay feeder in two ways: lying down or hanging. Perfect for every piggy's preference!
