Shipping Information

At Guineaqueen, we take pride in delivering our products to customers across the globe. We ship from Slovenia, European Union (EU). For all orders to non-EU countries, please be aware these are considered International and may be subject to import fees, customs duties and/or taxes. The customer is responsible for these costs.

Shipping costs vary depending on the weight of your order and will be calculated at checkout.

Your order will be shipped from our studio in Mali Ločnik, Turjak, Slovenia from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Once dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking information. For international orders, delivery times may vary due to customs processing in your country.

We use DHL for international packages, DPD for EU packages, and Posta Slovenije for local shipments. Please note we do not ship to P.O. boxes.

If you made a mistake on your shipping address, don't worry! Please contact us at wheek@guineaqueen.com as soon as possible, and we will do our best to amend this for you, provided your order has not yet been dispatched.

Policy

We want you to be thrilled with your Guineaqueen purchase. If you're not completely satisfied, or if you need to exchange an item for a different size or style, please contact us at wheek@guineaqueen.com within 30 days of receipt. Note that custom orders, perishable items, and sale items are not eligible for returns. We will provide a complimentary return label for incorrect or damaged items.

To initiate a return, please email us at wheek@guineaqueen.com. Items should be returned to our address, accompanied by the original invoice:

Once we receive and inspect your returned items, we will issue a refund to the original form of payment within 5 business days, minus shipping costs.

Exchanges

We don't offer direct exchanges. However, you can return your item for a refund and then place a new order for the item you'd prefer. Remember to double-check our Size Guide before placing your order to avoid any sizing issues.

GuineaQueen® pet essentials are lovingly created, featuring a warm core of 200 g/m2, 100% polyester batting, wrapped in gentle anti-pill fleece. Stitched with robust upholstery thread, they promise a cozy, mold-resistant embrace for lasting snuggles.

This is the cozy layer that stays in contact with your guinea pig. It provides a soft, dry surface that's perfect for your pet's feet and it won't form fabric pills over time.

Quilt Batting

For Guineaqueen® items, we use ultra-soft, 100% polyester batting (200 g/m2), also known as polyester fiber wadding, that's cuddly and mold-resistant, making every product a cozy haven for snuggles.

Clean Daily

Wash When Needed

Daily, simply shake out droppings and hay, or use a vacuum or brush for a quick clean. For optimal comfort, change the pee pad daily. It's effortless and ensures their space stays cozy!

Before washing your Guineaqueen accessories, make sure to thoroughly remove any droppings, straw, and hair.

It's best to wash these items separately from your clothes, and using a washing bag can help protect your washing machine. Set your machine to a gentle cycle, with a maximum temperature of 40°C, using regular laundry detergent without softener. For an extra clean, you can occasionally add white vinegar to the softener compartment, which helps soften the fabric, reduce hair buildup, and eliminate bacteria.

Once the wash cycle is complete, remove the accessories promptly, reshape them, and let them air dry. Remember, do not use a tumble dryer or iron.

What is a Lounge Pad™, and how is it different from a pee pad?

The Lounge Pad™ is a feature designed for use with GuineaQueen® beds and hideys, providing a soft surface for your guinea pig to lounge on either inside the bed and hidey or as a standalone pad. It differs from a pee pad in its purpose and design; the Lounge Pad™ is for comfort and is not intended for absorbing waste. Pee pads are specifically designed to absorb urine and moisture, preventing it from spreading and keeping the area dry. The Lounge Pad™ focuses on providing a plush, cozy area for your pet to relax and does not have absorbent or waterproof features.

How does the Lounge Pad™ benefit my guinea pig?

The Lounge Pad™ provides an extra layer of comfort and warmth for your guinea pig. It’s perfect for use inside the bed or hidey for additional padding or outside the bed as a separate lounging spot. The versatility of the Lounge Pad™ ensures your pet always has a cozy place to relax.

Why is the Lounge Pad™ not waterproof?

The decision to not make the Lounge Pad™ waterproof is intentional, aimed at promoting a healthier environment for your guinea pig. Waterproof materials could prevent urine from passing through, causing the guinea pig to lay in wetness, which is uncomfortable and can lead to health issues. Instead, the design allows urine to pass through to a liner or pee pad placed underneath, ensuring the bed remains a dry, comfortable place for your pet to sleep and relax. This approach keeps the sleeping area clean and dry, as the urine is absorbed by the underlying layer, away from where your guinea pig rests.

Are additional or replacement Lounge Pads™ available for purchase?

Yes, additional and replacement Lounge Pads™ are available for purchase. This allows you to always have a clean one on hand or replace one that has become worn over time, ensuring your guinea pig’s environment remains comfortable and hygienic.

Can the GuineaQueen® bed or hidey and the Lounge Pad™ be washed?

Yes, both the bed, hideys, and the Lounge Pad™ are machine washable. We recommend washing them on a gentle cycle with normal detergent and without softener, and air drying to maintain their shape and softness.

What materials are used in the construction of Lounge Pads™, and are they chew-proof?

GuineaQueen® Lounge Pads™ are lovingly crafted from soft fleece and cushioned with batting for ultimate comfort. While these materials provide a cozy resting place for your guinea pig, please note they are not chew-proof. We suggest providing plenty of chew toys and monitoring your guinea pig to prevent damage to the pads. Regularly check the pads for any damage and replace as necessary to ensure your pet’s safety.
